Hello! I'm new here and I didn't see a spot to specifically introduce yourself that wasn't separated by either dog and cat (and I just couldn't make that decision) so I figured I would jump right in and ask my question.

I wanted to know if anyone on here feeds a whole prey diet to their cat(s).

I just, less than a week ago adopted a little male kitten. He's a DLH and around 9-10 weeks old we think and weighs 2.4 pounds.

I plan on having him on a full whole prey diet if everything ...

Mikey - he is one of the two housecats and finally ate his first bite of raw yesterday

Milo - Milo has CRF and is 13 years old. He is the other of the two housecats. He is also apparently part buffalo or rhino...he will ram into our doors in the house at full speed with his head to open them. Silly cat, that has to hurt you'd think. When he is getting fluids he is probably the wimpiest cat there is, he will cry, growl, and hiss the whole time only to walk away afterwards like nothing ...

Hello everyone,

I followed this link from dogsandchats (where I met most of the people there from Brad's website ... what a cycle of communities on the internet!)

My avatar is my cat London. Bit of background on London - he'll be 8 this October, and I will have had him for two years in November. He was not very well treated and came to me through my vet. His previous owner had left an ear infection untreated to the point where all the cartilage in his ear is damaged ... thus the crumpled ...

I switched two of my dogs on to raw diet about a month ago.

I am in the middle of switching the cats, seems to be a harder feat.

They are getting this raw ground up slurry mixed with wet canned food (wellness).

Hi everyone! I found this forum thorough Kelly and I've been really interested in starting a raw diet for my cat!

Leo is a one year old cream point Siamese that I rescued in December. He currently eats wellness/nature's variety/evo. I give him raw chicken whenever I make something and he thinks it's pretty good so I have a feeling this will be an easy transition when we get there!

I have loads of pics to share!

Hello!

I started feeding raw about 6 months ago when Jeta was diagnosed with struvite crystals. I refused to feed nasty RX foods and knew that raw would keep the crystals at bay. Fortunately both Jeta and Zara took to raw right away. Coco will only nibble at it and Toby won't touch it. I'm going to start working harder on getting Coco on raw.

I'm looking forward to learning a lot from all the folks in the forum!

Harley is two this month--and has been with us since May 2008.

We started raw two weeks ago today actually and have just been doing one meal a day along with their wet and dry.

They have taken to muscle meat and bone fabulously--organ meat not so much. They have ...

As most (if not all) of you are aware, there was a massive pet food recall due to chemical contamination in 2007. Hundreds of food brands were recalled and thousands of cats and dogs across the US died; many more are compromised for life.

I was feeding some of the recalled and poisoned foods. Three of my four kittens pulled through, for which I remain eternally grateful, but I lost their brother, Oliver. Since then, I have been obsessed with all things cat food related.

Waverli (a year and a half), raw fed since 4.5 weeks. Once she got a taste she went cold turkey off formula.

Amos (almost 5ish), raw fed since 2ish years.

Taken just a few days ago.

And my project.. the one on the right.

I've been trying for the past.. year and a half I suppose to get him to eat raw. He is to the point where he eats boneless meat, but he vomits beef and venison so I have to be careful that he doesn't get more ...
