We are planning on having our future dog on raw food, but are wondering what is recommended to use during training. Lots of people recommend using kibble or small treats during training sessions, but are there any raw treats that can be used instead? Or anything you can cut up yourself that isn't too messy? Thanks!

What kind of treats do you use for training?

I asked a similar Q in the cat section, and dehydrated meat was an idea. You can buy dehydrated liver at most stores, and you could also dehydrate your own meats.

I dehydrate my own wild venison and cut them into small pieces. I tried frozen beef heart before but it turned out awful as it thawed in my hand. Yuck.

I use cooked chicken or other meats, obviously not raw but MUCH better than store bought treats! and usually much tastier too.
