Okay, I know i should know this, but is there any bones in ground beef? I just got some for very cheap ground beef, since it is after the fourth of july there was some very good sales on meat. I got only about a weeks worth of beef (which is actually 15 pounds because i have 20 cats that will eat raw). They also get some wet food everyday along with a few bites of dry, and are eating much less with it being so hot out.
Should i add some chicken bones into the ground beef to cover the bones, or is there some bones ground into that probably? I also finally found a place that sells chicken livers, heart, kidneys, and gizzards all in seperate packs for very cheap. I added that into the baggies with the meat in it to, so it is about 10% of the total they get every day. They also have beef hearts and livers, so i might get them next time.
Also got 3 whole chickens for $0.69 a pound and 2 turkey breasts for $0.80 a pound (both of which i thought was very cheap). Must be since it is just after the fourth of july?
