    Meet Othello(and family)*pic heavy!*

Post  artsiekat on Mon Feb 16, 2009 2:21 pm

DISCLAIMER: Neither Othello or I can take responsibility for damage to monitor that can be caused by allowing resident female kitties to view this thread.

It is recommended to remove all female kitties from the room before viewing this furryhandsomness named Othello.

    Now to the pictures!

Othello is a 7 month old Maine Coone. He loves to play fetch and makes weird trilling noise and throw temper-tantrums.

Othello knows he can take a better picture than Mommy!

Othello using my husband as a bed.

Othello and I have a deal, I grow him his grass, he doesn't eat my other plants(usually).

    Laser pointer fun!

    Mmm, warm laundry.

Othello says thank you for looking at his pictures, he had fun posing for them! Smile

    Okay, he is ADORABLE! *squee*

I love MaineCoons, I would like to own (a black) one, one day.

Also, how do you manage the grass? Seems like this is an awesome idea I'm mad I never thought of!

I actually bought one of those small litter boxes (too small for a litter box anyway!) from Walmart and drilled holes on the sides, near the bottom. I put it in a tray (or larger litter box) to catch the draining water.

Fill with soil, an inch before the top of the soil add lots and lots and lots of birdseed! Any kind of birdseed, will do, actually.

Add another inch of soil, water thoroughly and watch it grow. I had grass starting to sprout after a week. I also have sunflowers popping up from the sunflower seeds. If you don't want to grow them, just pull them out (Kitty handles that task well, too).

Watch the kitties play and eat the grass!

Hah, Othello is truly a cutie-pie, Artsiekat! I missed your warning at the start of the thread and now I've got kitty drool all over my monitor (and with three female felines, that's a lot of drool)! Laughing

Wow, look at those eyes! Is there something in the laundry that makes him go like that? Or is he possessed? alien

    Just kidding, too cute.

Haha! Yeah, he does look a little crazy! Actually, that's his 'I want to play' look, he usually has that look when he's contemplating pouncing you.
