I first tried making my own raw diet, got a grinder, all the supplements, spent all day making food. My cats went nuts over chicken and really wanted to eat it all up, until I added the supplements to the mix! They would not touch it and I ended up trashing probably $70 worth of meat. I then gave up for a bit, but want to give it another try. I thought by feeding whole carcus they would not need any man made supplements. Is this true? I was just going to purchase the food online from hare today (which I have one cat eating mouse from already ground) and scoop it out to them at feed time. Seems easy enough...but I am sure I'm missing something... Please enlighten me, lol.
Another question is one of my 5 cats has CRF and needs low Phosphorous. I know mouse is low but she can't live on mouse alone, what else is low in Ph?
