Anyone have a cat who loves a certain food or species? Or hates one? I have not tried Willie on enough yet, basically only chicken and Pork with Turkey organs so I can't really say what he likes, except he ate both chicken and Pork without a problem. So far he hates liver which is a problem. tonight we'll try venison, it would be a big help if he likes it since my uncle hunts deer and I can get a good amount of that stuff for free. So what are your cat's likes and dislikes?

The favourite here is rabbit. By far! That was the first real bone any of them ate, so they had to like it.
They hate goat. HATE HATE HATE. It was all left for the dog. LOL

So far I have fed chicken, turkey, beef, cornish hens (pretty much same as chicken), mice/rats, and sardines. One won't eat the beef and two wont touch the rodents. Everything else goes down the hatch. Still waiting for rabbit and just noticed the other day quail at the grocery store. So quail will be next to try.

Another thing, 3/4 love liver! One (Penelope) will actually push the others out of the way so she can eat their portions!

Trevor LOVES his pork. Beef and venison tend to make him vomit, as do alot of cats so I would feed only small bits at a time and let your kitty get accustom to it.
As far as Waverli, she eats anything. She has issues with whole anchovies though. Sometimes she just wants to fillet them, sometimes she wants to eat them only head first, sometimes only tail first, sometimes everything but the head, sometimes ONLY the head, sometimes only 1 or 2 and in rare times she eats 3. It's the only food she kinda fiddle farts around with. Her loves in life are venison and anything whole. She equally loves rats, mice, quail, and guinea pigs.

I haven't found a source for rabbit or venison and I haven't yet fed quail (I've got some in the freezer) but so far, my cats like turkey the most. They really get into it, growling and swallowing as fast as they can.
They haven't turned down anything I've offered, but they have decided that the bottom half of mice taste different than the top half, and I've found an awful lot of mice bottoms laying around (ya' know - stumbling on even ONE of those is too many!).
Of course, they stopped eating the whole mouse right after I bought a couple hundred of them.

Chris, you may want to try starting the kitties on pinky mice first and working up in size and fur if you haven't already. Pinkies resemble pieces of meat more than whole prey and once they are accustomed to the taste you can buy some larger pinkies or fuzzies which begins the intro of fur, and go that route. When comfortable with eating that size then you can bump them up to the next size.
AC, I can bet the intestinal contents are putting your cats off. Sounds gross (I know, I have to do this with GPs and soon rats) but you might want to try taking out the intestines and stomach before feeding.
EDIT: After letting the mouse bottoms laying around the floor fiasco sink in, I got laughing and thought of this pic I took of Waverli around Christmas time.
Yes, that is a guinea pig head under the tree. She also put one outside my mom and stepdad's room when he was in there taking a nap and also beside the recliner where he'd step on it getting up. He gets grossed out when she eats whole prey so I think really it's a rebellious act and a source of entertainment for her. It's like the one Godfather scene with the horse head.. only it's a guinea pig head. LOL!
