    introducing myself Empty introducing myself

Hi, my name is Timothea, I came over from the Chazhound site as greenfireflygirl, where I usually just lurk, cause it's so huge, I wouldn't know anybody unless I was on it everyday. Just not enough time in the world.

I'm a single mom, work in healthcare (human, not pet) have a nine year old son named Connor, and a ten month old English Pointer named Charlotte. She's been eating raw since she was weaned, only mixed a bit of kibble in till she was about two months and I knew better.

I plan on getting a cat in the next year, and definitely want to feed it raw too, but know how finicky they can be, so a mixed species site is good to be on.

I feed only prey model diet, not the vomit diet, and hope that I can find like minded individuals here. I have done more than a year's worth of research into what diet to feed my dog, and am very obsessive compulsive about it, so will be on here a lot to learn, and to share what I know.

I live in Kitchener, Ontario, and it's really cold here right now, so I will be very jealous of anyone in the sunny states telling me how hot they are. Feel free to bait me, I will be jealous, but will not be mean about it.

Hope to have a great community on here.

Okay, will try to add some pics:

The lab is my brother's dog, and the blond kid is my son Connor. These pics were from last summer, she's only a little puppy then, the pic beside the lab is from October.

Tsk, tsk, that was not a blond moment. I'm a redhead through and through and I had the same issue once; thank goodness I happened to remember how to fix it when I posted my first pic here! Laughing

And your dog is way cute! (oh, and your son, too!!! *grin*)

Hi and welcome to the forum! It's great to hear that your pups has been on the right diet from the start, I'm sure the benefits of that will be great. He's adorable by the way, you can tell in some of the pics that he was going through his gangly teen stage, all legs! Good luck with finding your next cat and getting him on raw, hopefully it will be an easy transition for whoever you choose. Seeya around!

Welcome! The avatar looked familiar but I couldn't place you until you said your chaz name. LOL!

I'm sorry about your cat. I was working at a nutrition-based store and training facility at the time of the massive recalls and the number of people who came in with AWFUL stories was truly heartbreaking Sad I'm glad you found your way to raw. There is no turning back once you're here!!
