Jack & Harley Empty Jack & Harley

    Post  Jack&Harley Sun Feb 22, 2009 9:44 pm

I have two male cats Jack and Harley both DMH--although Jack is bordering DLH.

Jack is my red tabby boy and Harley is black and white.

Jack will be two in July-ish and has been with us since he was 10 weeks old.

Harley is two this month--and has been with us since May 2008.

We started raw two weeks ago today actually and have just been doing one meal a day along with their wet and dry.

They have taken to muscle meat and bone fabulously--organ meat not so much. They have had chicken and turkey so far. We also have venison in the freezer--thanks to craigslist--got about 6 lbs for free and some beef from craigslist as well. I have about 20lbs of meat stocked right now. I can get turkey thighs .79/lb amish raised and most chicken .99/lb amish raised. A butcher also packages beef trimmings and organs for .69/lb and if I call at the beginning of the week they WON'T grind mine.

I won't say things are going great--because I don't want to jinx myself.

Your cats are absolutely gorgeous, Leslie, just beautiful. I especially like Harley - what a handsome man!

Jack kinda looks like he just bit into a lemon. *chuckle*

Welcome to the forum! I'm glad you've come over, your cats are gorgeous, I love the black marking on your boy's nose, it's quite endearing. I'm lad to see another person feeding what their cats were made to eat! Hopefully out community will continue to grow. If you know any other raw feeders drop them the name of the forum!
