Kiele is such a good girl and is a great mom. She has always been good with other animals. This picture just proves that just because a dog eats meat it does mean they are going to become a rabid killer !!

Adorable! My favourite part is the shiny evil eyes in the background. LOL
It's also a good picture for showing people who say dogs go crazy on blood!! My mom knows a guy who tries to tell her that all the time.

I was so excited about finding this picture that I didn't even realize the glowing eyes ! Those big beautiful evil eyes belonged to my gretchen. She passed away a few months ago. She was 14 yrs old. Ugh I miss her We got her when my daughter was only a few months old and they grew up together. She/He was the best cat. Funny story about gretchen (this will explain the she/he). We got gretchen from a pet store that used to be in our area. Well they took the litter of kittens to the vet for shots and a check up after someone dropped them off and the papers from the vet said that gretchen was a girl. So we named her gretchen. Well when I took her to be spayed (silly me to trust a vet) they called me at work and said we had a small problem. Of course I freaked thinking the worst. So then they say Chrissy we couldn't spay gretchen ...... we had to nueter him. ( I knew them from my parents going to them for years) So we bring gretchen home and tried renaming him and tried to call her a he. Well after a week I was just like forget it he's an it now so she stays a she and her name stays gretchen ! Made for a funny story and one that I will always remember

Chrissy I cannot stop looking at this picture. It is so precious! My friend's GSD is the exact same way- very motherly and LOVES baby kittens, puppies, rats, etc. She even lets them "nurse" (she's spayed) on her! Is this just a trait of the breed or is this individual dog personality? I really don't think I've ever seen a GSD that wasn't good with other animals.

Well like any mammal there are bad moms. But in most cases GSDs are very motherly and good with other animals. Alot of it has to do with the way they are raised. Its not just females tho. I had a male that rescued a baby bunny and would mother kittens. Diamond was another one. He loved other animals but hated people (with good reason). But I like I said its has alot to do with the way they are raised. I make sure my dogs interact with other animals as puppies. We always have some new critter in the house and I don't want them thinking they are food lol. But I could talk forever about this breed as they are my first love. LOL I wanted one of these dogs for as long as I can remember. My mom still has my xmas list from when I was 5yrs old and all I put on it was that I wanted a garaman sheperd (thats how I spelled it back then lol). I even begged my dads friend to bring me one back from germany when he was in the military and went there for a year. He didn't bring me one back but these dogs have always had a hold on me

GSD's are herding dogs. They're awesome at tending to their "flock". I grew up with them and will always have a soft spot for them, they're such awesome dogs!
I LOVE that picture, that's way too cute!
